I’m April Booher, a wedding photographer based in Johnson City, Tennessee. I photograph weddings throughout the Tri-Cities area, including Kingsport, Bristol, Greeneville, Jonesborough, and the surrounding communities of East Tennessee.

Connecting with people and documenting their story is one of the things I love most about being a photographer. Since launching my photography business in 2010, I have photographed hundreds of weddings and gained extensive experience guiding couples through one of the most meaningful days of their lives.

As your wedding photographer, I will guide you through beautifully posed photographs that highlight your relationship while also capturing the genuine interactions, emotions, and details that unfold naturally throughout your wedding day.

I understand that being in front of the camera can feel a little nerve- wracking, and many couples worry about not knowing how to pose. My goal is to make the entire experience feel relaxed, comfortable, and enjoyable.

Throughout your wedding day, I gently guide you, your wedding party, and your family through poses that feel natural and authentic. You will never be left wondering what to do with your hands or where to stand. I provide direction while allowing room for genuine connection and interaction.

While posed portraits are important, I also focus on documenting the candid expressions, joyful tears, laughter, and quiet glances that often become the most meaningful photographs from the day.

He asked, and you said yes, and now You’re Engaged!! That’s so exciting and I want to hear all about it!! One of the first things you’ll want to do is an engagement photography session.

My goal as a photographer is to create an engagement session unique and meaningful to you. Together, we'll create a personalized experience just for you and your fiancé.

Once we have the location set, we'll work together to create beautiful and timeless photos that reflect the love and excitement of this special time in your lives.

Hey there! I’m April Booher and I am a wedding photographer in Johnson City TN. I also photograph weddings in surrounding areas in East TN, NC, and VA.

We had a typical "family photo fiasco" that day and were late to arrive, had forgotten our diaper bag, needed to feed our newborn mid-session, and had a grumpy toddler ready for a nap.
